Questions, answered
Do I need a Chromecast?
No. Samsung, LG and Sony smart TVs play straight from your phone, using a standard (DLNA) that most smart TVs have built in. Chromecast and Google TV work too.
Do I need to install anything on my TV?
Not on Samsung, LG or Sony smart TVs. Fire TV and Android TV use the small Glanzo TV app, and a Windows PC uses the small Glanzo app for Windows.
Does it need the internet or my mobile data?
No. Your phone and TV only need to be on the same Wi-Fi, or on your phone's hotspot. Glanzo sends photos over that local connection, not over the internet.
Are my photos uploaded anywhere?
No. Glanzo has no cloud and no account. Your photos go straight from your phone to your TV.
Will my 4K and HEVC videos play?
Most TVs play them. If yours can't, Glanzo tells you why, and Glanzo Pro can convert the video on your phone and play it.
Is Glanzo free?
Yes for photos: cast them one by one, as many as you like, free forever and without ads. Free also includes 10 minutes of video a day and slideshows of up to 10 photos, with a small Glanzo mark on the TV. Pro removes every limit.
How does the free trial work?
You get every Pro feature free for 7 days, with no card. When the trial ends, Pro simply locks. You are never charged automatically.
Can I cancel Pro?
Yes, anytime in Google Play, under Subscriptions. Lifetime is a one-time payment, so there is nothing to cancel.
Is there an iPhone app?
Not yet. The iPhone app is coming soon. Tap Get notified and we will tell you.
Which languages does Glanzo speak?
The app is in English and Hindi today. More languages are on the way.
What is the watermark?
In the free version, a small Glanzo logo sits in a corner of the TV picture. Pro removes it.
